Ministry & Purpose

Emmitt McKenzie had a radical encounter with Jesus Christ on the evening of November 6th, 2011. After this encounter, his heart and life changed completely. He started to desire to live a new life in Christ. This new life began by going to church and becoming a faithful disciple of Christ. After he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, Emmitt longed to know more about the love that God has for humanity. In 2015, at Falls Creek Conference Centers in Oklahoma, Emmitt surrendered to God’s call in his life to preach during the Indian Camp week. On October 13th, 2016, Victory Baptist Church in Oklahoma City licensed Emmitt to preach. Central Baptist Association observed Emmitt’s life calling through local and world missions. The First Baptist Church in Watonga ordained him in the gospel ministry on November 29th, 2020.

Emmitt is now a student at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, currently in the third year of his Bachelor's degree in Christian Studies. He lives in Memphis, Tennessee, supported through anonymous donors, is faithfully serving the Lord Jesus Christ, and is a member of Watonga First Baptist Church. The passion Emmitt has for lost souls is evident through his daily evangelism.

The words of Emmitt McKenzie; “I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to share the Gospel and what Christ has done for me. I want the world to know there is hope in Jesus Christ.” Emmitt is a biblical evangelist who wishes to “train and equip the saints for the work of the ministry”. His daily evangelism is evident in his call. His inspiration, encouragement, and passion of evangelism is contagious. Pray for Emmitt and the ministry the Lord has placed on his life.
